HTC Hero users on Sprint can download an over-the-air maintenance update for thier device. The update includes some bug fixes, but doesn't update the system beyond Android 1.5. So if you use a custom Android build, just ignore this post.

Vodefone UK is currently offering the HTC HD2 for free on all tariffs over either a £35 on a 24 month or £40 on an 18 month contract. The handset features:

According to BGR, Verizon will be releasing an over-the-air update for Motorola DROID and HTC DROID Eris handsets on December 11th. The update will address some firmware issues and bugs.

HTC will be releasing it new HTC HD2 smartphone in Europe and Asia in a couple of days from now, and is planning for a U.S. version to hit the shelves in early 2010. The handset is the first Windows Mobile device to use a capacitive touchscreen, which is great for viewing websites, documents, pictures and typing on the on-screen keyboard. Other features include:

T-Mobie UK has announced the upcomng release of the HTC HD2, most likely on November 11th. They have also said that the handset will be available from a US carrier in early 2010, but didn't name the exact one.The HD2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, has a 4.3" touch display and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
