HTC has isued a new firmware build for its Hero handset, which should once and for all eliminate the lagging issue. One of the most common complaints regarding this handst was that it lagged when opening cerailn applications. Now this problem is fixed with the upgraded firmware version, 2.73.405.5, which is now available through the company's Danish website.

Future HTC Hero releases should have the latest OS installed.

You all know the awesomeness that was the HTC Touch HD, and now it will get even better. According to some sources, the sequel to the said handset will be Android-based, and will feature a more powerful 628MHz Qualcomm chip which is just perfect for running resource-hungry Sense UI and HD video on the 3.8" 480 x 800 display. Hopefully this is all true.

The rendering of the HTC Leo seen earlier this summer turned out to be real. Some pictures of the actual device have surfaced and really got us excited about it. If you haven’t heard about it before, below you'll find its rumoured specifications and the aforementioned photos.

The Android-based HTC Click is now officially known as the Tattoo, and will be available in Europe early October before hitting select global markets in the following months. Here's a confirmed list of its specifications:

Sprint has officially launched the HTC Touch Pro2. You can order one now by logging on the company's online store to place your order. The phone will cost you $349.99 after rebate and discount on a new 2-year contract.

Sprint will be the first and only carrier to offer the HTC Hero in the U.S. The phone will be available exclusively from the carrier starting October 11th and will cost $179.99 after rebates. Pre-registration is currently available for those eager to already claim stake.

Alltel customers can now get the HTC Snap for just $80. The phone offers the same international roaming capability and is similar in terms of design to Blackberry Tour, and if you're good with Windows Mobile OS, you can very well save $120. It's a good deal, think about it.

According to 8080.net, the HTC Hero CDMA known as the Hero200, which was approved by the FCC a few days ago, will come in a different design compared to the GSM version. And the leaked photos of the prototype prove that: the handset has a flat body below the touch screen with trackball and shortcut buttons on it. However, we can't tell if it will be different in terms of specs.
