According to PhoneArena, AT&T is getting preapared for the release of the HTC Hero for its customers early next year. The phone will feature:

• Android OS;
• Sense UI;
• Flash support;
• 3.2" 320 x 480 screen;
• 5Mpix camera;
• Wi-Fi;
• 3.5mm audio jack

Here's another Android handset set for release on Verizon, the HTC Desire. It's got 3G support (not sure why they would need it, since Verizon is a CDMA carrier), Sense UI, a trackball, and no physical keyboard, just virtual. Overall it reminds us of HTC Hero. Our only complaint here - the photo is just too damn dark!

We know how you HTC Magic owners were upset when you found out about the HTC Hero's Sense UI, which was not on your newly bought handset. But not all is lost! HTC Taiwan has released a ROM upgrade for it's Magic users that packs Android 1.5 (cupcake) and the Sense UI, which could indicate that firmware updates for users in other parts of the world are coming as well.

According to WMExperts, U.S. Cellular is preparing the launch of the HTC Touch Pro2. The carrier will be the first CDMA operator to offer the phone with Windows Mobile 6.5 pre-installed. In addition, the handset will also feature the HTC's Sense UI. Sounds like great news for U.S. Cellular customers!Pricing and launch date weren't announced yet.

Owners of the HTC Snap and Touch Pro2 smartphones in Europe can now download the official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for their handsets. Releasing the update for the U.S. models will depend on the repective carriers.

AT&T has recently released the HTC Tilt2, a WM6.5-based full touchscreen handset, which features a full duplex speakerphone, 3.2Mpix camera, WVGA tilt-up display, and a 5-row QWERTY keyboard perfect for typing long messages. It is available for $349.99 on contract before a $50 mail-in rebate.

Vodafone has recently released the Sony Ericsson Satio, HTC Tattoo, and LG GM750 for its customers in the UK. All three are available for free on contract:

• HTC Tattoo: Android, resistive QVGA display and a 3.2Mpix camera - free on a £25 monthly plan.
• GM750: WinMo 6.5, 5Mpix camera - free on a £25 plan.

HTC is now offering a selection of 15 replacement covers for the owners of its Tatoo handset. These two options will cost you €11.99 (about $18) and €14.99 (about $22), respectively. And mind you, these are not just back covers, but a whole body makeover.

UK retailer Clove has recently announced that it will soon be offering the unlocked contract-free version of the upcoming HTC HD2 smartphone. The handset is said to be available starting November 11 for £469, about $740 US. Note that this is the European version, 3G won't work in the U.S.It is also known that the HD2 will be hitting O2 later this month and Vodafone in Spain in December.
