HTC has unveiled its latest smartphone at CES 2009 today, called S743. At first glance it looks like an ordinary candybar phone with a non-touchscreen display, but inside it packs a  nice set of features which include a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and HSDPA support.

No word on pricing and availability yet.Features of the S743 include:

• 12-key keypad design;
• Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard;
• Windows Mobile 6.

If you want to play with the Android, but hate T-Mobile G1, then the Android-powered HTC Touch HD is your choice. Here's a video demonstrating the device. The quality is poor, but it's normal for such kind of videos.

The service manual for the HTC’s Touch HD has surfaced today. The most intriguing thing about the handset is the said availability of 850 and 1900 HSDPA bands, which means the phone supports U.S. 3G coverage. This could also mean the Touch HD is likely to be released in states.

While we don't know that for sure now, those who will manage to bring the phone stateside will apparently be able to use 3G on it.

Just a quick update: here's a video proving the authenticity of the yesterday's photo.

It's hard to tell whether this is real or not, but judging by picture it looks like it's a BlackBerry Application Suite running on a HTC Touch Pro. Rumors of such a thing were going around back in 2007, and assuming that the photo is real, it's very nice to finally see it on a live shot.

HTC has issued a new update for the Hong Kong version of the HTC Touch HD. The update takes the ROM version to 1.19.831.0 and the Radio version to 1.09.25.14, and includes minor fixes, some of which are listed below:

• Resolves the following CSL Real-time Stock Quote & Foreign Exchange Service issues;
• Fixes the font size display problem in Opera;
• Resolves the issue of getting an error when downloading songs from CSL WAP site with .

HTC's answer to the iPhone, the MAX 4G has been pictured again. It still looks good, and has the same known specifications, though the price is still kept under cover. If for some reason you're not aware of its features, check them out them below.HTC Max 4G specs:

Here's a new video demonstrating the Android OS running on an HTC Touch smartphone. As seen, it runs pretty smooth, but the best thing about Android in this case is that you'll be able to return to Windows Mobile anytime by simply restarting your handset. Ain't it cool?

Just to let you know, the HTC’s S740 is now displayed at Orange’s Business website. The S740 is a WM-based smartphone with a front numeric keypad and a sideways sliding QWERTY keyboard. Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G, HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS, 3Mpix camera and microSD card slot.

The white HTC Touch Diamond has finally appeared at the HTC’s website. And just in time for Christmas too, as one can't think of a better time than now to release a white-colored device. However, the offer is valid for Europe, while the U.S. release date is still under question. Pity.
