Good news for Bell customers: the carrier has managed to get the HTC Touch Pro before Telus and already sells it for $239.95 CAD (about $195) with a 3-year contract. If you think that's too long, don't worry, Telus isn't better when it comes to contract terms.
Fortunately for most of us, such rules exist only in Canada.
Telus Mobility has finally released the CDMA HTC Touch Pro for its customers in Canada. All willing can get it for $299.99 on a 3-year agreement (why not for the lifetime?), or you can pay $549.99, $599.99 or $649.99 on a 2-, 1-year plans and outright, respectively.
Boy Genius has managed to get a hold of the leaked “Need to know guide” for the Verizon’s version of the HTC Touch Pro. Now we know that the handset will feature a Qualcomm 7500A CPU running at 528MHz, 512MB ROM and 192MB of RAM.
HTC and the Russian network provider Scartel have announced the world’s first GSM/WiMax smartphone, called the HTC MAX 4G. The device looks exactly like the Touch HD, and will be available exclusively on Scartel’s Yota network. Expansys UK has announced that it has the HTC Touch HD, but if you want this handset you might wa to be quick, as there are only 100 units in stock. The device isn't cheap, £524.99 a piece, though it will come cheaper (£446.80 ($705)) if you buy from outside of the UK, as you won’t need to pay VAT.
Last doubts dissapeared - the HTC Touch Pro will sono be released on Verizon. The handset will feature 512MB of ROM, TV-out, a 3.2Mpix camera and microSD card slot. The most probable release date is November 14th.
The HTC Touch HD has gone for sale in the U.K. and is available now for £514.99 ($821) with no contract. Don't expect it to arrive to North America, but if you're an american staying curently in Britain, don't forget to pick his one up before you return home.
