The first Android iDEN handset is currently available via Best Buy. The Motorola i1 comes unlocked for $350 and can be used on Boost and Sprint networks.

The iDEN-capable Android-powered Motorola i1 is now available to SouthernLINC customers in Alabama, Georgia, or the western half of Florida. Hopefully, other carriers (Sprint) will also pick it up soon.

Motorola will be announcing its new i1 handset at the upcoming CTIA event, the Android-powered iDEN Moto handset we've first seen back in December under the name of Opus One. Besides the name change they've added a nice feature to the handset: MOTOBLUR UI.Other features include:
- 3.1″ hVGA 320×480 capacitive touchscreen display;
- 3Mpix autofocus camera with LED flash;
- Accelerometer;
- Proximity sensor;
- Wi-Fi 802.

Another iDEN handset has been approved by the FCC, namely the Motorola i296 for Sprint. It supports the 800 and 900 MHz iDEN bands, features Bluetooth, and has support for Motorola’s MOTO Talk technology that allows to make short range push-to-talk calls to other handsets without being connected to the network. That's all we know so far.No word on pricing or availability date yet.

Scott Sloat, the spokesperson of Sprint has confirmed that the company will no longer push-to-talk phones based on Qualcomm's QChat technology, which was introduced in 2008 as an EVDO Rev. A-powered alternative to Nextel's iDEN technology. He said that Sprint Nextel's iDEN network technology has recently improved and the carrier will market its PTT services for iDEN only.

Documents found at FCC site revealed some information about the Motorola i680, a rugged clamshell for the Sprint Nextel network. The handset supports 800/900MHz iDEN bands, and has Bluetooth and GPS. Photos show that the i680 also comes with two displays, a camera with flash, microSD card slot and a headset jack. According to the draft user manual, other features include video capture, threaded messaging, audio/video media playback and PTX services.

Meet the Motorola i410, a new iDEN phone that has recently been spotted at the FCC site. It is pretty ugly like all iDEN representatives, as seen on the photos, and features a small external screen, push-to-talk functionality, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity support, speakerphone, messaging and basic web access. That's about all we had to share. Pricing and availability info is not available yet.

First pictures of the upcoming Motorola's Android-powered iDEN/Wi-Fi phone have appeared recently. Known as Opus 1, the handset will be manufactured by Israel-based subsidiary Mirs, and will arrive sometime in 2010.

It looks like Telus' Mike will be the second iDEN carrier in Canada to offer the Motorola i465 Clutch. It is a low-end messaging handset with a front-facing QWERTY keyboard, and features like PTT, threaded SMS/MMS, Bluetooth support, and a cr@ppy VGA camera.

The upcoming Motorola iDEN i465, which was first unveiled back in January, has been spotted yesterday on the FCC’s website, along with a bunch of pictures and a User Manual. It's not pretty and is low-end, like all the latest Motorola handsets. The only thing that makes this phone attractive is its front-facing QWERTY keyboard, which indicates that it's made for texters.
