To make things right, a third party group of programmers have released an unauthorized iPhone application for reading eBooks. It supports text and HTML files stored in your Media / EBooks folder, and can enter subdirectories.

It is officially confirmed that hackers in Europe have unlocked the iPhone. The device is now capable of making/receiving calls as well as SMS messages. To hack the handset hacker used only a SIM reader/writer and a blank SIM card. The patch is called Total Unlock, and has been tested in the Orange UK network.

Apple iPhone may not be the hit we expected it to be after all. AT&T affirms that it has activated only 146,000 iPhones after the first two days of sales, though analysts predicted 500,000 to 1 million devices to be sold during the given period of time. Now analysts agree that the demand for the iPhone is falling. How can this be? Those relatively poor sales can be explained simply: many users had activation problems and couldn't register the device for a couple of days, so the actual number of iPhones sold may be much higher.

The upcoming Samsung P520 touch-screen mobile phone claims to become Samsung's iPhone killer. Well, judging by its specs, it looks more like a clone rather then killer. Some manufacturers just can not seem to understand, that equipping a new device with a touch-screen isn't all that it takes to create a competitor for the iPhone. They must either build a phone with better features, or with the same set of features, but with a similarly advanced user interface, which is the main point of attraction of the Apple's handset.
