Some new screenshots of the Facebook 3.0 for iPhone have surfaced recently, revealing some of the new features added in the latest version. First of all, it's the ability to upload photos/videos from your iPhone on the fly. Also users will be able to manage their accounts directly on the handset, so now there's no need for a PC. Nice!

All that's left is to wait for the app's official launch, when we'll get its exact list of changes/improvements.

Rogers is rumored to be in the process of shipping iPhone 3GS 8GB flavor handsets to stores. It's currently unconfirmed, and the price remains a mystery, we're just telling you what we know. It actually could be a replacement for the $99 iPhone 3G.

The new iPhone OS 3.1 beta 3 is now available to developers, which means that the latest revision is is getting closer to the rumored September release. The software adds support for video APIs, making augmented reality apps a distinct possibility.

As you probably already know, the iPhone OS 3.1 beta was released to developers yesterday. While there's no official change log yet, one anonymous tipster came up with his own list, which includes all the changes he noticed while playing with the new OS 3.1 build. Ok, here it is:

• Options for MMS are back on AT&T, but not sending or receiving;
• Non-destructive video editing means trimming a clip no longer saves over the original video but gives you the option to “Save as copy…”;
• Voice Control now works over Bluetooth;
• iPhone vibrates when moving icons;
• Updated AT&T profile to 4.

According to BGR, it looks like Apple has released the iPhone SDK 3.1 as well as iPhone OS 3.1 for developers. Stay tuned for more details.

ColorWare currently offers several custom color options for those who hate the default colouring of the iPhone 3G S. According to recent rumors, the Canadian CDMA carrier TELUS will probably be picking up the new iPhone 3GS in October once it gets its upcoming HSPA network up and running.
