Apple iPhone Coming Soon to Europe

Apple is holding a London news conference on Tuesday, where it will supposedly unveil its plans on launching the iPhone in Europe. The most likely European carriers are Spanish Telefonica's O2 UK unit, Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and France Telecom's Orange.

So far there aren’t many details about the future conference: Telefonica, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom have maintained a strict silence about any deal, but we can expect the iPhone to appear in the European market before Christmas.

iPhone got $200 Cheaper!

Apple has dropped the price for its 8GB iPhone by 1/3, and stopped the production of the 4GB model.

In addition, the company has launched the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, allowing customers to buy and download tracks and albums via Wi-Fi connection.

Further more, expect a 3G version of iPhone to appear in November.

The new feature will probably be included in the upcoming software update, but no specific date was announced yet. It's a pity the service will use Wi-Fi connectivity instead of EDGE.

New Update for Apollo IM

The iPhone's official AIM client, the Apollo IM has been updated again.

This time developers added sound and vibrate alerts in the application - two important features lacking on the BETA version 0.1. But that's not all, several adjustments to the UI were also made, including the addition of the "buddy info" and "suspend" mode.

Apple's Ringtone Maker for iPhone coming on September 5th?

According to reports, Apple plans to launch new ringtone-management software for the iPhone.

The new service will give users the ability to convert any portion of any song from iTunes into a ringtone (not for free, of course). No pricing or availability details have been announced yet, and we can't be sure that the software will actually be released, but stay tuned, as things will get clear really soon.
