Cisco and Apple resolved their dispute on the "iPhone" trademark

Big disagreements happen between two companies last month, when Steve Jobs (Apple CEO) announced the brand new music phone - iPhone in the annual convention in San Fransisco.

The Cisco Company declared iPhone trademark is registered by Cisco since 2000 and was using for their line-up of Internet-connected phones.

This Thursday, both companies came to the agreement and said they are free to use the "iPhone" trademark on their products throughout the world, and each side will dismiss any pending actions regarding the trademark.

LG presents the twin brother of the Apple iPhone

Well guys, such an interesting thing happens! Just imajine that LG Electronics recently announced their KE850 – terrific this device looks like the just-released Apple iPhone (including the full touch-screen interface). It is very interesting whether LG be suing Apple soon according to the marketplace? How these devices can be looking almost identically after being developed in secret and just having been announced at the same time.

Cisco files suit against Apple over iPhone trademark

Cisco filed a suit against Apple over trademark infringement concerning its use of the iPhone name. It was Cisco's LinkSys division who recently introduced a new device under the name the iPhone trademark. Well, and yesterday became known that Apple was talking over the trademark. Mark Chandler, Cisco senior vice president and general counsel announced: "Cisco entered into negotiations with Apple in good faith after Apple repeatedly asked permission to use Cisco's iPhone name.

Apple announces iPhone

iPhone was recently officially announced by Apple. However, Cisco launched a product under the iPhone name last year, Apple's name remained the same name. The iPhone is a widescreen iPod and a phone all in one. The device has a touch screen system (320×480 3.5" touch screen at 160ppi -very high resol); with no buttons - just the power button.

Increase of Apple shares due to iPhone

Due to the much awaited "iPhone" for years shares of Apple hit an all-time high [ AAPL ]. They say the device is music centric, probably similar to the popular Walkman line of handsets from Sony Ericsson. "iPhone" is going to be launched at MacWorld Expo 2007 , which takes place in January.

It is supposed Broadcom to provide chips for the iPhone.
