If Digitimes are to be believed, this years' upcoming iPhone will sport a 3.2Mpix CMOS camera module. They said that OmniVision has secured the CMOS image sensor orders from Apple, and will also be making another 5Mpix camera module for another Apple product, maybe a higher-end iPhone. We'll see...

An analyst from Lazard Capital Market claims that Apple has plans on producing a new 32GB iPhone in 2009, basing on information from sources in the NAND memory industries. There will be 2 versions of the handset available, one of which will be a low-end iPhone for the markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China, while North Americans and Europeans will get the high-end model.

Finally an official Skype application will soon come to the iPhone and BlackBerry handsets. The iPhone will get it this Tuesday, while BlackBerry owners will have to wait until May. The official build will not require additional audio transcoding, will use only Wi-Fi instead of EDGE or 3G, and will support calls to SkypeOut contacts in addition to many other features available on the desktop client.

Apparently the jailbreak for the iPhone 3.0 firmware is ready, as confirmed by the iPhone Dev Team. It means that we'll be able to run all the third party apps on the handset, but will have to wait until the official release of the firmware that'll take place this summer.
P.S. YellowSnow users are warned to stay away from the firmware 3.0 because YellowSnow is not ready yet and could cause some irreversible changes.
