All willing to buy an iPhone 3G cheaper should consider Best Buy's new offer. They're selling refurbed iPhone 3Gs for $149 and $249 on contract for 8GB and 16GB versions, respectively.
I must admit, however, that after the AT&T's New Year deal, when you could get an 8 gigger for $50, the current prices from Best Buy seem a bit unaffordable.

Sling Media has announced that SlingPlayer will be coming to iPhone and will be showcased at this year's MacWorld. They also mentioned that the lease is scheduled for Q1 2009, but rdidn't specify the exact date. Well, no surprise here.

Well, it certainly looks real to me, though guys from Engadget say that there's something wrong with the font on the back of the handset. Real or not, a Red iPhone would definitely attract a lot of new buyers, and Apple should really consider releasing such a version.

Yes, we have never expected to see a pink iPhone 3G too, let alone on the eBay. But t's definitely there, and it doesn't look like the work of ColorWare. Apparently, some OEM in Asia makes customly colored iPhones. The upcoming Macworld will probably clarify the situation.

The iPhone Dev-Team has finally launched its iPhone 3G unlock (0.9 beta), which they called "yellowsn0w". According to reports, it definitely works, but only on the handsets running the v2.2 firmware. Well, if you're interested in the unlock, you probably have the latest firmware installed anyway.

Wow, that's a cool app for the iPhone. The new iSmoke simulates the smoke coming out from a cigarette/pipe, and heck, you can even move the smoke around the screen with your finger. To start smoking just blow into your iPhone, like shown in the video below:

Now that's what I call a killer deal, and it's only valid till New Year’s Day. Don't waste precious time and order an iPhone 3G now if you still don't have one.

Best deals come after Christmas, gotta know that... AT&T is now offering the refubrished 8GB iPhone 3G for just $99 with a 2-year contract, while the 16GB refurb is $199 on contract in either black or white. How do you like that? And hurry up, while they're still in stock!
P.S. I feel a bit sorry for those who have got the handset just yesterday at its usual price.

HP announced a new iPhone application of its own, called the iPrint Photo. With it users will be able to print photos wherever there is access to a wireless network and HP printers.
HP will show off the iPrint Photo at Macworld Expo and CES in January.
