One of the iPhone's main f**k-ups is its inability to send/receive MMS messages. But the situation is about to change for iPhone users in Sweden (and not only, apparently), as Telia seems to be working on an MMS application for the handset that should be available in the near future.
Now if they could only add that darn copy/paste functionality, some of us could die happy.
Microsoft is not an exception when it comes to making applications for the iPhone. The company is apparently working on a web-based Office app for the handset that will be accessible through Internet Explorer, Firefox and mobile Safari browsers.
While the new Office isn't a native iPhone application, you won't have to jailbreak your handset or install extra add-ons.
Folks from the iPhone Dev Team have managed to jailbreak the the second beta of the iPhone 2.2 firmware, which hasn't even been release yet. Why would anyone need it anyway? Just to write text mesages a couple of seconds faster than on the virtual touch keyboard? And just look at how ugly the iPhone becomes with it. I guess Apple won't tolerate any competitive software on the iPhone. With this in mind, they've restricted the use of the Opera Mini on the handset, as it would compete directly with the Safari browser.

Yes, it's true, and we hear a lot of guesses what the iPhone 2.2 beta 1 would actually include. The ideas are various, from full LTE and WiMAX support to the ability to run Google's Android in emulation. However, those are just presumptions and cannot be taken seriously until we hear some words from the officials.
