Bell Mobility has announced the release of the Sanyo Katana Eclipse, right after the introduction of the phone's new press photos. Prices are as following:

• $49.95 on a 3-year contract;
• $99.95 on a 2-year contract;$224.95 on a 1-year contract;
• $274.95 sans contract

Specs include:

• 1.3Mpix camera;
• 10MB of internal memory;
• MP3 player;
• Bluetooth 2.

The new Sanyo Katana Eclipse was first spotted about a month ago, in the same month got the FCC approval, but is still not officially announced by its future carrier Sprint. However, Sanyo has unveiled some nice pictures on its site revealing the phone in all its beauty. Check them out!

The new Sanyo Katana Eclipse has passed the FCC thus proving its existence. It was spotted in a Sprint roadmap two weeks ago, but was considered fake until now.

There is almost no information about it, but basically what we can say judging by the photo, it's a music-centric phone, similar in design to Katana LX. According to the roadmap, the Katana Eclipse should be launched before August 17th.

Only two months ago it was just a rumor...

Sprint has released the Sanyo Katana LX, a nice replacement to the older Katana II available for the same $49.99 with a contract after rebates.

This stylish clamshell comes in 3 colors: Liquid Graphite, Pacific Blue, and Elegant Pink and features GPS, Bluetooth, VGA camera, and ... no EV-DO.

FCC has unveiled a new, supposedly low-end handset from Sanyo called Katana LX.

It is a clamshell phone with no camera, no external display, no microSD slot, but equipped with Bluetooth and a headset jack.

Sprint and Sanyo have announced the new Sanyo Katana DLX cell phone, also known as the Sanyo SCP-8500, supporting Sprint Power Vision services, such as Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV and Sprint Navigation. The phone has a thin form factor and is available in Platinum Ice, Champagne and Pink Satin. Some of its features include:

•  Large QVGA primary display

The new Sanyo SCP-8500, or Katana DLX, was spotted on FCC site recently. Basing on available documents and drawings, this clamshell handset will feature EV-DO data, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot, dual screens and a built-in camera. The dimensions have changed in comparison with the original Katana: the phone lost 3.8mm in height and 1.

The new Sanyo SCP-6650 Katana II clamshell was recently found on FCC Site.

The phone slightly differs from its predecessor: it shrinks 2 mm in width and 4 mm in height, features a larger external display positioned slightly lower on the front of the device, and comes with a 2.5mm headset jack.

It also has a camera, internal antenna, and Bluetooth capability.

Sanyo today announced the launch of the Sanyo Katana, an ultra-thin, affordable phone designed to appeal to fashion-centric consumers.

Making its debut throughout the month of July in four bold colors, including Mystic Black, Blue Sapphire, Cherry Blossom Pink, and Polar White (a color sold exclusively at RadioShack), the Katana will be available at Sprint Stores, online and at select third-party retailers for $279.
