Verizon Wireless said today that in the 12 months since it launched the LG Chocolate in the United States it has sold more than 3.4 million units -- an obvious comparison to the one million units-per-quarter performance of Apple Inc.'s iPhone, which sells at rival carrier AT&T Mobility. That's an average rate of about 850,000 Chocolate handsets per quarter, which compares well with Apple's stated intent to sell one million iPhones in the third quarter -- the first quarter for iPhone sale -- which it reached Sept.

Here is a new version of the recently released LG KG90, the LG KG90C Shine. The phone, also known as White Chocolate, has an all-white sleek and shiny body, and comes with the same specs as the KG90. So, I guess only the color was changed... Just to name a few of the features, the LG KG90C has a 2" 262K color TFT screen, 128MB of memory, and supports MP3, AAC+, and WMA formats, Java, and Bluetooth.

Not long ago we've mentioned two upcoming LG cell phones for Verizon, called LG VX8800 and VX10000. As we promised, here are some details about them. Both are successors of the LG VX8550 and the LG VX9900 enV respectively and are equipped with touch-sensitive panels. The LG VX8800 is a slider, similar to the VX8550, featuring a dynamic touch display area instead of touch-activated buttons for navigation through the phone's menu.
