AT&T has announced today six new messaging handsets that include both smartphones and more entry-level feature phones. Here they are: Samsung Propel Pro i627: a QWERTY slider running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard. Features Wi-Fi and a 3Mpix auto-focus camera, and will be available starting on April 14 for $150.

LG has unveiled its new LG Lollipop clamshell phones over in Korea targeting 17-23 years old users. The phone comes in a colorful design, and is covered with 220 LEDs on the outside allowing users to create different animations (22 patterns already available by default) using the pre-installed application. Alltel has released the LG Banter today. The phone is basically a Rumor 2 clone, and will be available from the carrier for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a 2-year service agreement. Note that it's a whole $30 cheaper than the Sprint's offer. So, any takers?
Apparently the LG Arena will soon be coming to the U.S. market, too, as the FCC has approved the LG KM900QA, which is a variant of the LG Arena supporting 850 and 1900 MHz U.S. HSPA bands.
According to a leaked document from BrightPoint, the rumored Instinct M810 Mini and a red version of the LG Lotus will both be available on April 19th. The Instinct Mini will come in graphite and bronze colors at a price of $449.99, while the red LG Lotus will be going for $299.99.
That's not officially confirmed however, but is very likely.
Just an update for those interested: as expected, Fido has released LG Neon in Canada. It will cost you $50 on a 2-year contract, or $175 outright. The same offering from Rogers costs $200.
It seems that LG has finally decided to replace its old VX10000 Voyager with a new model. The new LG VX11000 has been spotted yesterday at the FCC site, and apparently will be heading to Verizon Wireless. Currenty we only know that it's a CDMA phone with Bluetooth and EV-DO, which will get a codename later on.
LG Neon is surely a great choice for those who like instant messaging. Starting this week it will be available to Fido subscribers in Canada. Here's a quote from the recent press release regarding the LG Canadian Texting Championships: "LG Neon, which is a slider model that features a full QWERTY keypad and easy touch screen for dialing (from Rogers Wireless and coming to Fido this week)".
