LG KS20 will soon be available in the U.S. under a different name, the MS25. Also known as "smart Prada phone" and LG Dominator, it is a dual-band GSM/EDGE handset (no word on 3G frequencies) with a large touch-screen, supporting Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity. The phone has just been approved by the FCC so we can expect it to appear stateside in early 2008.

LG plans to sell over 100 million handsets in 2008 thus catching up with Sony Ericsson who have already sold about 100 million phones this year. Nevertheless, Nokia still remains number one on the market and holds one third of it. LG stoke on releasing more low and mid-range devices, while at the same time expanding its share in the high-end market.

Forget what we told you a couple of days ago about a Korean, who supposedly died because his phone, manufactured by LG, exploded in his chest pocket. This version was made-up by the guy's colleague, the actual murderer, who this way attempted to cover up his actions. The man told the police that he had accidentally hit the victim with a 15-ton hydraulic drill rig while driving in reverse and that was the real cause of death.

Here's yet another case of an exploding cell phone that caused the death of its owner. A Korean quarry worker died when his phone exploded in his chest pocket. This time LG are to blame... or aren't they? Judging by what a medical examiner describes, the wound was too severe to be caused by an exploding cell phone: "He sustained an injury that is similar to a burn in the left chest and his ribs and spine were broken.

Here are two good news from LG. First, the company's Shine phone has reached the U.S. and will soon be available from AT&T. The second is that LG has managed to sell over 5 million Shines in a span of a year, beginning from October 2006.
