LG is preparing to launch its very first Android-powered flip phone.Wine Smart will be unveiled in South Korea, and as far as we know – it may never hit other markets.The promo page, in Korean, doesn’t spill the beans on the specs sheet, leaving us to ponder what kind of hardware the Wine Smart boasts under the hood. We would guess this will be a mid-ranger rocking Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, though you never know.

While the LG G Flex 2 won’t be out before next year, that doesn’t stop the media from uncovering bits of info about it.The next phone in the G Flex series will have a smaller but higher-res screen. It is, however, not clear whether the G Flex 2 will rock a full HD (1080 x 1920) or Quad HD (1440 x 2560) display.Anyway, we would expect top components, along with some fancy software enhancements that take advantage of the unique phone design.

LG introduced it’s circular, and more premium G Watch R a few days back. The company didn’t reveal any information about the launch of the gorgeous smartwatch, except that we may get to buy it this fall.According to a new report from WSJ, the LG G Watch R will hit retail on October 14th, and will be more costly then the original LG G Watch, which went on sale earlier this year for $229.

LG G Watch R and Samsung Gear S smartwatch officially announced

LG and Samsung unveiled today their new smart watches – LG G Watch R and Samsung Gear S.The G Watch R runs Google’s Android Wear platform and specs wise is similar to its predecessor, the G Watch.These include a 1.3-inch P-OLED with 320×320 pixels resolution, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, 512MB of RAM, 412mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage.All this comes wrapped in a IP67-certified dust and water resistant, stainless steel body, making for a that much sexier look and feel.

LG announced two new members of its L series smartphone, L Fino and L Bello.As part of the “L” line-up, these two are obviously affordable devices.The LG L Fino rocks a 4.5-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, HSPA+ connectivity, 1,900 mAh battery and 4GB of expandable storage.The L Bello has a bigger 5-inch screen with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution, slightly faster quad-core CPU clocked at 1.

LG has recently announced that the UI G3 owners learned to love is heading to its entire line-up.As part of the new UI initiative, users will get a simplified camera displaying only the most frequently used menus, as well as the super-fast Touch & Shoot feature.Also in the camera department, LG will bring Gesture Shot to all of its future smartphones, making taking selfies simple and fun.Another UX feature to be standardized is Smart Keyboard, which works like SwiftKey, by tracking and analyzing typing habits and intuitively “knowing” what words the user intended to type.

Forget the current LG G Watch, as the Korean company is already working on its successor.LG’s next smart watch will keep using Qualcomm’s chip rather than LG’s own Odin SoC.Unsurprisingly, LG is working with other companies from the LG Group, including LG Display, LG Inotek and LG Chem; as well as Google, since this unit will also end-up running Android Wear.The report claims that the company has been “approached by a lot of authoritative watchmakers for strategic collaboration.

Nowhe Koreans brought to light a trio of lower-end G Pads to battle Samsung’s countless Galaxy Tabs.So the smallest of the bunch, the G Pad 7.0, got a 4G LTE-enabled variation on AT&T, and now the mid-sized G Pad 8.0 follows suit, with a built-in LTE modem for Europe.We wouldn’t be surprised to see the G Pad 8.

LG G3 smartphone family wasn’t convoluted and confusing enough already, yet another variation of the top-shelf G3 is tipped for an imminent release, likely exclusive to Sprint.The G3 s, the flagship’s compressed flavor, shouldn’t have disoriented us that much, but just for kicks, LG decided to launch it under two monikers: G3 s and G3 Beat.The G3 Stylus, though certainly unexpected, at least carries a suggestive and straightforward name, but alas, the G3 A for Korea doesn’t.

LG G Vista no longer Verizon exclusive

Available on Verizon since last week, the LG Vista is, as expected, due on AT&T as well.Ma Bell missed takeoff and thus lost a lot of publicity steam to rival Big Red. However, the number-two wireless carrier stateside plans to undercut Verizon’s pricing.The G Vista, launched on America’s largest network at $100 on-contract, shall cost $50 with a two-year AT&T term, or $355 outright.
