AT&T now offers the Red version of the popular LG Shine for $99 with a 2-year contract and a mail-in rebate. This is the third red colored handset after the BlackJack II and BlackBerry Curve 8310 available exclusively from the carrier. It was presented at CES 2008 along with the Black model, which should also be available very soon.

As expected, Verizon picked up the Samsung U940 and LG VX9100 phones, which have recently passed the FCC. Samsung U940 is the CDMA version of F700. It looks similar to the iPhone, but has better features, including a 5Mpix camera, HSDPA 7.6Mbps, a "drag and drop" touch interface on a 2.

LG announced the European launch of their new silver Prada Phone. The handset features an SMS-friendly QWERTY keyboard and comes with a bunch of silvery accessories including the leather case with a Prada logo, earphones and the package box. The new Prada Phone will be released simultaneously in 18 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

The guys from BGR made a little hands-on review of the LG Viewty handset and remained pleased with its performance and functionality. The best feature of this phone is of course the 5Mpix camera with auto- and manual focus, 800 ISO mode, onboard image stabilization, and capable of capturing videos at 120fps. The image quality is almost the same (or maybe even better) as on the Nokia N95.

The new LG U830 is a 3G HSDPA-capable flip phone, a successor to the LG Chocolate. Available in black and silver, it is pretty large in size measuring 49mm wide and 98mm tall when closed, and offers upgraded features like a 2Mpix and 180MB of internal memory, though without the expansion slot this is almost nothing for a music-centric handset.
