The new Motorola VE465 clamshell has been spotted at FCC site today, coming in two versions: dual-band and tri-band CDMA, the latter of which includes 1700MHz AWS spectrum, supported by Cricket or MetroPCS. Judging by the the photo, the phone has dual displays, external music keys, external speakerphone, Bluetooth, and a camera (Mpix unknown).
Neither Cricket, MetroPCS, nor Motorola have announced this handset yet.

Samsung has unveiled today its new R310 Byline, a PTT-capable clamshell, which will be available via MetroPCS. The phone comes with dual-displays, Bluetooth, speakerphone, and basic messaging capabilities.

Announced back in spring, the purple C78 candybar is the third hasndset from from ZTE shipping to MetroPCS this year. The phone isn't going to impess anyone with it's 60MB of onboard storage, 2" display, VGA camera, and tri-band CDMA, but users looking for a cheap low-end handset will probably find it attractive.
The price is just $129 outright.

Kyocera S1300 has been spotted at the FCC site today. Judging by the available specifications, the S1300 is an entry-level tri-band 800/1700/1900MHz CDMA handset with aGPS support. The phone doesn't have a camera, though it does support web browsing, and offers features like speakerphone and voice commands.
The first carrier to get the phone will most likely be MetroPCS.

Motorola's VE240 music-centric cell phone will soon be arriving to Cricket and to Metro PCS. According to the source, the phone will be available from Cricket Communications in the Tulsa market tomorrow, and all Cricket Communications and MetroPCS markets in a couple of weeks.
Some of the features include:

- Stereo Bluetooth;
- Dedicated music key;
- MicroSD slot (up to 4GB);
- Speakerphone;

CDMA service provider MetroPCS announced that it the near future it will move to the 4G GSM/LTE network. The respective network is potentially able to speeds downlink speeds of up to 386Mbps, and upload speeds of nearly 86Mbps.
Earlier this year such major carriers like Verizon and Alltel also announced their CDMA to LTE upgrade plans, and AT&T will apparenltly follow their example.

US cellular provider MetroPCS announced today it will implement EV-DO-based 3G network in seven of its markets, including three existing ones, that is Detroit, Dallas and Los Angeles, and four new ones, which are Boston, Las Vegas, New York and Philadelphia. The wireless network in the first three will be upgraded from 1xRTT to EV-DO.
