Adobe FlashCast for mobile phones from Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless has become Adobe's exclusive North American wireless carrier partner for distributing Adobe mobile applications like FlashCast. FlashCast service gives users access to a multitude of V Cast Mobile TV channels.This service is expected to be fully available in the second half of this year.

Verizon has also introduced two new phones that support V Cast Mobile TV - LG VX9400 and Samsung's SCH-u620.

New Nokia mobile device factory in Romania

Nokia is to set up a mobile device manufacturing plant in the county of Cluj in Romania. The construction work will begin in spring 2007 and production is expected to start in the first half of 2008. The Cluj factory will be company's 11th mobile device production facility.

Nokia decided to establish a new factory in Romania because of the increasing demand for mobile devices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

LG VX9400 Mobile TV phone LG VX9400 is the second V-CAST Mobile TV phone for Verizon. The 9400 strikes by its design.  The screen swivels horizontally for TV watching. Some troubles occur when you want to use the numeric keypad, which is under it. The LG VX9400 has 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD memory card and Bluetooth v 1.2.The LG VX9400 is available for $199.99 with 2-year contract and mail-in rebate from Verizon Wireless.

The Limbo Show First Mobile Game Show from Verizon

It is became known from Verizon that they are going to release the first game show for their mobile phone subscribers.

“The Limbo Show” is how the show is called, offers “Limbo Auctions” the idea is that subscribers can win prizes for just a few dollars. The start is today and a 50 inch big screen HDTV is up waiting. The Limbo Show being part game show and part text messaging is available to all V-Cast subscribers.

Yahoo provides better mobile phone search than Google?

A new Internet search system for mobile phone users was announced by Yahoo thus putting Yahoo one step forward of what Google can offer. The system delivers locally relevant answers.Marco Boerries, senior vice president of Yahoo's Connected Life business unit said: "We are now putting search on every mobile phone that has a browser. We are delivering the results consumers want with just one search, not a list of Web links.

Research on Adult Watch Mobile Ads

Harris Interactive has conducted a research and found that consumers are open to receiving advertisements on their cell phones. The research covers current levels of consumer interest in mobile phone advertisements, preferences and the willingness of consumers to be profiled. It emerged that 35 percent of adult cell phone users are willing to accept incentive-based advertisements such as 78 percent said the best incentive would be cold hard cash, free entertainment downloads and discount coupons.

According to the announcement of TiVo and Verizon Wireless they say about the availability of TiVo Mobile scheduling. This time it’s a downloadable application giving subscribers the possibility to use select mobile phones to schedule recordings on their TiVo Series2 or Series3 TiVo boxes.
