Harris Interactive has conducted a research and found that consumers are open to receiving advertisements on their cell phones. The research covers current levels of consumer interest in mobile phone advertisements, preferences and the willingness of consumers to be profiled. It emerged that 35 percent of adult cell phone users are willing to accept incentive-based advertisements such as 78 percent said the best incentive would be cold hard cash, free entertainment downloads and discount coupons.

Virgin Mobile announces the Kyocera Marbl clamshell to appear in the United States markets. This device is basic, very ordinary cell phone without any MMS, camera, MP3 ringtones features. The device has a speaker phone, a WAP browser and SMS. The Kyocera K132 will be able to access ringtones, games and mobile content from MTV and Comedy. The price of the Marbl is expected to be 30$.

BenQ Mobile is through a tough time now, as the Munich-based company will be divided and sold. It is a result of a failure that happened after they acquired from Siemens AG. Although, it’s absolutely not a surprise, but rather a logical end, as the attempt suffered through an investigation into its bankruptcy filing. The administrator announced that there would be "no realistic chance" to sell off BenQ Mobile as a whole.

Maps give users the possibility to interact with maps and satellite images, also to find point-to-point directions and find businesses or other points of interest. It's also a good feature for Windows Mobile 5.0 phones that are enabled with GPS, Google Maps automatically shows where the user is on the map with a flashing blue dot.
