Motorola DROID X2 launch date set on May 26th

Though it's not an official info, it seems it will become so in a short time.

Verizon Wireless will announce the DROID X2 and start shipping the first smartphone units on May 26th, with direct fulfillment orders starting on May 19th.

It is a dual-core CPU-powered Droid X2, which also comes with a qHD (540×960 pixels) touchscreen and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The device features an 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, HDMI out, 8GB of internal storage and a large 1540mAh battery.

Motorola Droid X2 specs revealed officially

Now we finally have the official specs sheet of the Droid X2.

The Droid X2 features a 4.3-inch 960×540 qHD display, dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 8-megapixel camerai with dual LED flash and 720p video capture, 512MB RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, EV-DO Rev. A connectivity (no LTE here), and Android 2.2. It also sports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11a standard a/b/g/n functionality.

Sprint has officially announced its business-class smartphones with QWERTY keyboard - the Motorola XPRT and Motorola Titanium.

The XPRT is the first “Android smartphone from Sprint to deliver enterprise-class security, personal productivity enhancements and international roaming. It is packed with a 3.1-inch touchscreen and a 1GHz processor, and is running Android 2.2.

EX130 - a new smartphone by Motorola

Motorola is launching soon a new phone called the EX130, running under the Qualcomm Brew MP operating system.

The device isn't officially announced yet.

It features a 2.8-inches on 320 x 240 resolution main screen while below it there’s a thin little OLED screen (96 x 16 resolution).

The device comes with 128MB of memory and 64MB of RAM.

According to the globaldirectparts website, Motorola DROID 3 will come with a 4.0-inch touchscreen which is accompanied by a front-facing camera.

The photo above is only a prototype so there is no assurance weather it would be the final design.

Motorola dropped some hints today that the upcoming DROID Bionic will be a different model than the phone that was originally given that name, the Motorola Etna.

Motorola has updated the device's fact sheet and now the device is expected to be launched this summer. It will focus on an improved form factor besides changes that have been made inside the model.

Motorola Droid Pro another update gets rolling

Motorola is now pushing out another update for its Droid Pro.

Among the most significant changes are AES256 encryption for internal storage and microSD cards, plus additional ActiveSync policies and VPN enhancements.

Also there are certain improvements such as Moto refining voice call quality, stability, performance, and updating the Google apps.

Motorola Droid X^2 press hots leaked

Some official press shots of the new Verizon's handset were leaked. With the exception of the absent camera shutter button, the Droid X^2 remains largely the same as the original in terms of aesthetics.

At the same time the device features a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor,  and 4.3 inch qHD display, running Android 2.2 Froyo.

The Droid X 2 will likely stay at the standard $199 price on a new two-year contract.

Today FCC received the Motorola XT316 candybar smartphone. The design befitted for those who prefer BlackBerry while using Android platform, but sadly, the device is targeted for chinese market only.

This Android phone supports WCDMA bands 850 and 2100, and features a 2.8-inch display and a hard QWERTY keyboard.
