T-Mobile's Sidekick Slide is now off sale until Motorola fixes a defect in the handset. The carrier has recently received a number of complains from customers whose phones turn off when the screen is slid open or closed. All Slide owners who have the same problem should contact customer support to return the device into a T-Mobile store.

Sprint began advertising the new Motorola Q2, which is basically the same model as the Q9m from Verizon , just a bit customized. The phone should feature CDMA connectivity, Windows Mobile 6 OS, Bluetooth, miniSD slot, and 1.3Mpix camera. It will cost $150 with a 2-year agreement.

Several pictures of the Motorola RIZR Z10 concept phone were taken at the Symbian Smartphone show yesterday. The new handset is a successor of the Z8; it operates on Symbian OS over UIQ interface and lacks the touch-screen. An interesting feature here is the “video slideshow” capability, allowing users to create their own video clips by combining random movies, images, sounds and text.

The new Motorola RIZR Z10 will be soon available in Europe. It is a UIQ 3.1 powered handset featuring quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G connectivity, a 2.2" 320x240 16M color display, a 3.2Mpix camera with AF and video recording capability at 30fps 320x240 resolution. The Z10 will be released in December with a price tag of 400 Euros.
