O2 and Vodafone will be the first carriers to offer the GSM version of the Motorola DROID in Europe, where it will be known as the Motorola MILESTONE. The phone will be available in Germany and Italy starting November 11th, and according to the official site, will cost €481.

Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has announced that the company intends to release at least 20 new smartphones before the end of next year. He didn't say what platforms will be supported, though.

Best Buy Mobile now accepts pre-orders for the Motorola DROID. The phone will cost you $199 on a 2-year contract (Verizon) after an automatic mail-in rebate. So if you're worried about the eventual sellout, pre-order one now and you're covered.

BGR reported that both Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris will be released on Verizon on the same day of November 6th. It's not official, but it's safe to assume that the date is solid, as we've heard confirmations from other sources, indicating the same day.

Meet the Motorola i410, a new iDEN phone that has recently been spotted at the FCC site. It is pretty ugly like all iDEN representatives, as seen on the photos, and features a small external screen, push-to-talk functionality, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity support, speakerphone, messaging and basic web access.
