Sprint reported about the apparition of the first of Sprint Nextel combo phones. The Motorola ic502 was launched.

The ic502 uses Sprint's CDMA 1xRTT network for voice calls and data connections, but Nextel's iDen network for walkie-talkie service. Packed in the rugged clamshell body, it has the 65k color display, GPS, JAVA .

While Motorola still keeps working with the Razr the result is the upcoming Motorola W550.

Although the officials of Motorola haven't given any news and pictures on this one, Hungarian handymen posted on their website (terminal.hu) some pictures of the device. However the site doesn't have these pictures anymore as "vendor requested to take them away!"

The images say that the Motorola W550 is as if a mixture of the V3 Razr and Motorola W220.

Motorola, a major mobile phone vendor, reported about the buying of wireless e-mail provider Good Technology Inc. Ron Garriques, president of Motorola's Mobile Devices business said that the Good Technology would advance Motorola's vision of seamless mobility. Motorola explains that Good will be a part of its Mobile Device business unit.

Motorola i880 was presented by Sprint Nextel on its iDEN Nextel network, the handset being an update to the Motorola i870 .

Motorola i880 includes the following features:

• microSD card slot (64MB card included)
• 2.0 megapixel camera

Cingular launches the Motorola V365 , an update to the popular V360 . This mid-level clamshell phone has a good specification list. Although the handset has a VGA camera only. The V365 is available for $100 from Cingular after a 2-year contract.

Motorola V365 includes the following feat

Motorola Inc. is going to develop a Java Micro Edition software stack using the Apache License Version 2.0 hoping to unify the fractured market for Java software in cell phones. Motorola reported it would cooperate its future Java ME-based development with Apache's model of licensing and open governance. Open-source software is offered by Apache Software Foundation planning that customers and developers don't have to pay royalties on the software.

A European handset manufacturer Sagem is now going to be bought by Motorola Company as President Ron Garriques announced, also he mentioned that they are interested only in the employees of the Sagem but not in the business.

As is known Sagem sells low to mid class handsets and now the company is experiencing financial difficulties with increased competition from major manufacturers.

The L7e is Motorola's latest stylish slim device, which is part of the SLVR series. The audience of the phone is not the US one, but as it's quad-band frequencies support will allow overseas shopping without problems. The L7 has several slight updates, like a 1.3-megapixel camera instead the old VGA one. Its variations color of blue reminds of the popular at the moment Motorola KRZR K1.

Motorola ROKR E6 was declared by the FCC page to be real. This music-oriented phone is a successor of the E680. The internal model of the phone is  Motorola E690; with large touch display and it runs on the Linux Operating System. The front part has big touch display and there are a few RAZR-styled keys and navigation-pad below it. There is 2-megapixel camera with macro switch at the back part, while on the left side there is SD slot for memory expansion.

A Verizon Wireless branded Motorola RAZR MAXX (that was announced in June along with the KRZR and RIZR ) promotional image became known, with some rumors that a CDMA version of the phone is coming. The MAXX was introduced as a new 3G folder with touch sensitive external music controls. CDMA RAZR MAXX features cannot yet be confirmed
