Some Motorola DROID owners received an OTA firmware update for their handset that reportedly fixes some issues regarding the Facebook app in the Marketplace - now there should be no problems downloading the latest versions of the said software. No Android 2.1, sorry.

During the Korean launch of the MOTOROI, Motorola Korea CEO Rick Wolochatiuk has confirmed that it "will be launched in other markets around the world," with the U.S. specifically confirmed for a March release.

Motorola has launched it's recently announced MOTOROI handset in South Korea. It will be available for purchase next month. Features include:

Rumors suggest that Telus will release the Android-based Motorola Milestone on January 26th, which corrensponds to the previous info mentioning Q1 2010. Take it with a pinch of salt, though, as rumors often end up being false.

Sprint Nextel has added the Motorola i680 Brute to its iDEN lineup. It is a rugged clamshell compliant with mil-spec 810F for durability. Features include a 2Mpix camera with flash, Nextel Direct Connect PTT functions, GPS, durable battery, media player, stereo Bluetooth, and the ability to switch a PTT conversation to a standard voice call.

The phone is availabe for $119.

Why Motorola would release such a 'meh' handset when they have the DROID and the CLIQ is beyond me. The new Motorola MB511 "Ruth" is probably meant for the other market segment, featuring a QVGA display, some sort of GSM / WCDMA radios, a Qualcomm MSM7200a processor, and the old Android 1.5 build under the hood. Hopefully it will be atleast 2.0 when it's released.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming Motorola Shadow could be the next Google Nexus phone. There are some new rendered shots of it, you can see them here. As for the features, the phone will have a 4.3” 800 x 484 display, a slim QWERTY keyboard, and an HDMI port.

Motorola will be releasing an Android handset in South Korea, called the XT720. It is a localized version of the XT701 available currently from China Unicom, and will most likely be coming to SK Telecom in February.
