Motorola has unveiled its latest iDEN phone. There isn't much info about it at the moment, but we're always happy to see new iDEN handsets.

Specs:

• 2.2" display;
• 1.3 megapixel camera;

The ruggedized Motorola i580 clamshell is now available in a yellow color. That's a nice way to refresh an old handset!
The phone is built in compiance with Military Standard 810 F for dusty environments, water, drops, exposure to vibration from heavy machinery use and hot/cold climates.

It's a shame that Moto decided to scrap its unreleased 8Mpix Alexander smartphone. However, it's not surprising, considering Motorola’s recent alliance with Google’s Android. I guess Windows-Mobile powered devices will have to go...

Sprint Nextel is now offering a bright yellow rugged PTT-capable Motorola i580 for just US$119.99 for a 2-year sign up contract. It is compliant with MIL-SPEC 810F standards for temperature, pressure, shock, vibration, dust and tolerance to solar radiation. Other features of the handset include:

Motorola announced the availability of its entry-level clamshell, the EM330, for AT&T customers. It is going for free after rebate, and includes a 1.3Mpix camera, stereo Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headset jack.

The unannounced Motorola QA4 has has been approved  by the FCC yesterday. According to the draft user manual the phone offers video capture, aGPS, EVDO, stereo Bluetooth, YouTube and Picasa features, and, of course, a touchscreen. It can operate on the wireless networks offered by Sprint, Verizon and MetroPCS, though there was no official word from those carriers yet.

Motorola came up with a new low-end rugged clamshell, the VE465, which has already been confirmed for Alltel and Telus.

The LG Rumor 2 is a full-QWERTY slider available for just $49.99 after instant savings of $150 and a $50 mail-in rebate. Its key features include:

Several pictures of yet another Motorola phone have surfaced today, and by the looks of it, the Rival A455 appears to be a simple QWERTY slider/touchscreen combo, headed for Verizon. Features include:

Motorola has announced two new rugged business phones under the MC55 series. The difference between the MC5574 and the MC5590 is that the first model has a full QWERTY keyboard and an external antenna, while the other features a standard 12-key dialpad and an internal antenna.
