Symbian^3 UI update will be coming to phones like the Nokia N8 and E7 after the summer.
The new interface will make the menus less deep, introduce flexible widgets which can be sized differently and placed any position on numerous home screens, plus a "thin pull-down Statusbar" and a simplified navigational bar at the bottom.
A new update has been released for Nokia Symbian^3 devices Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01. In addition to numerous tweaks and fixes, it also includes some new content.
For Nokia N8 users was added Quick Office 6.4 editor and three high quality games - Need for Speed Shift, Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire. For other models were added such features as Ovi Maps integration in e-mail, meeting requests can also be accepted from within the email application.
According to multiple sources, Nokia's flagship N8 smartphone will begin shipping on September 30th. Currently, the device is available for pre-order at the company's USA ($549) and UK (GBP429.00) online stores, and the shipping will start in the end of September. Key specs:

Just to let you know, the Nokia's future Symbian^3 flagship, N8 is now available for pre-order at the company's Italian site, priced at €469 price tag (about $610). The release date is set for September.
It appears Nokia N8 is capable of providing full desktop experience with the following exploit, which allows for connecting a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the handset. Hook it up to an HDTV and you're set.
