There are rumors saying that Sony Ericsson plans to launch at least three new handsets on June 14. There were no official announcements made, but if the rumors are right, tomorrow we will finally see the 5Mpix camera-phone called Sofia, which will replace the K800 and K810 models; Maria/Mooi with 8GB of storage capacity, the replacement of the W950; and finally the Shinobu Walkman slider.

All those awaiting the LG Shine will have to wait a bit longer. The new LG VX8550, which was considered the Shine slider, turned out to be an updated version of the LG Chocolate. There were some cosmetic changes made on the keypad and new colors were added. Pricing and availability details are yet unknown, but the phone will probably be released on the VX8500's one-year anniversary.

Kodak and Motorola are developing a new 5Mpix camera-phone, which should appear the end of 2007.
The new Motorola-Kodak handset is expected to become at least an equal match to camera-phones from other well-known manufacturers, such as Nokia, LG, Sony Ericsson, or Casio.
The device must have high-end features and a qualitative camera to be competitive.

Vodafone Group, the world's biggest cellular operator, has presented their two new entry-level phones meant primarily for developing economies of Asia and Africa.
The Vodafone 125 and the Vodafone 225 are second generation (2G) phones that will sell for between $25.00 - $45.00, depending on the market and the model number. The handsets will be shipped to Egypt, Romania and South Africa with 15 more countries in the coming months and will compete with other low cost phones.
