The video below shows an unknown upcoming Nokia handset, a potential rival to the iPhone.

As you can see it comes with almost the same touch-screen as the Apple's device, but will probably have more advanced specifications, including those lacking on the iPhone, like GPS and 3G support.

Nokia announced today that it will acquire Navteq, a digital mapping company for $8.1 billion.

This deal is the Nokia's largest yet, and is expected to help improve Nokia's location-based services for mobile devices. Navteq's existing customers will not be affected and the company will continue to operate independently.

The deal will close in the beginning of 2008.

Nokia has developed an application called Conversations for its S60 3rd Edition E-Series and N-Series devices.

It groups incoming SMS messages by sender and separates them from each other by creating message threads. This allows to maintain the on-going SMS conversation with any person from the contact list.

Nokia launched Nokia 6301 UMA phone today.
With UMA technology, the consumer can use the GSM network or a broadband Internet-connected WLAN network for mobile services.

Nokia today announced Nokia E51, a business device adding the Nokia Eseries portfolio, in London. Nokia E51 is the device featuring smartphone capabilities along with stylish design making Nokia E51 perfect for business professionals providing them with real-time access to business and people. Owners of Nokia E51 will have mobile email and messaging, office phone functionality, voice mailbox, one dial plan.

Nokia has bought Enpocket, a Boston-based mobile advertising company.

With Enpocket Nokia will be able to send ads via SMS, MMS, the mobile web and video services using its network operator partners.

The amount of transaction is unknown at this time.
