Nokia has developed an application called Conversations for its S60 3rd Edition E-Series and N-Series devices.

It groups incoming SMS messages by sender and separates them from each other by creating message threads. This allows to maintain the on-going SMS conversation with any person from the contact list.

Nokia launched Nokia 6301 UMA phone today.
With UMA technology, the consumer can use the GSM network or a broadband Internet-connected WLAN network for mobile services.

Nokia 6301 also features:

• 2-inch QVGA screen;
• USB/PC Synchronization;
• Internal user memory of 30MB and 128MB in-box microSD card, with support for up to 4GB microSD cards;
• Voice dialing, voice commands and voice recording;

The new Nokia 6555 has just arrived to the U.S., and it seems to be packing everything we expected it to feature:

• WCDMA and quadband GSM functionality
• 16 million color display with 240x320 resolution
• 6x zoom camera
• microSD card slot
• 30MB internal memory
• Bluetooth

The price is $49.

Nokia today announced Nokia E51, a business device adding the Nokia Eseries portfolio, in London. Nokia E51 is the device featuring smartphone capabilities along with stylish design making Nokia E51 perfect for business professionals providing them with real-time access to business and people. Owners of Nokia E51 will have mobile email and messaging, office phone functionality, voice mailbox, one dial plan.

Nokia has bought Enpocket, a Boston-based mobile advertising company.

With Enpocket Nokia will be able to send ads via SMS, MMS, the mobile web and video services using its network operator partners.

The amount of transaction is unknown at this time.

Today SINA, China's leading online media company, announced that they have joined as a sponsor in Nokia's ongoing mobile multiplayer games competition to support the global search for new game developer talent and bring a new breed of innovative, connected mobile games to the Chinese market.

As a result of SINA joining the competition, Nokia announced that the deadline for accepting mobile game concepts based on the SNAP Mobile platform has been extended to September 24.

Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have joined forces to develop a universal flash memory card that can be used in any digital device regardless of manufacturer.

It will use the Universal Flash Storage technology, which will make it a lot faster and more efficient, and should appear in 2009.

Nokia 6555 is a new 3G music-phone currently available from AT&T.

It gives users full access to various online multimedia services, such as AT&T's streaming video content and AT&T Mobile Music, which in its turn includes Napster and eMusic, music videos, MusicID song recognition, "The Buzz" music news portal, XM Radio Mobile, and more.

Nokia has updated its Maps application for S60-based handsets.

The new version is now available for download and includes the following improvements:

• New user interface;
• Added data download counter;
• GPS status indicator;
• Extended map coverage;
• Updated Map Loader (for PC).

Apparently, a new Nokia E-series cell phone is coming soon, and it will most likely be the Nokia E51.

It is a S60-based business-class smartphone supporting GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA and WiFi networks, and featuring a QVGA display and the standard numeric phone keypad.
