Nokia has released a custom version of its N79 smartphone called Active, which comes bundled with the wireless Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate belt, a cool accessory for sports fans. It also features A-GPS functionality, anda new version of the Nokia Sports Tracker application.

The N79 Active package costs $491, and additionally includes some sporty headphones, armband and a 4GB microSD card.

Nokia has released a new firmware update for its Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset via Software Update. The latest v11.0.008 is said to provide more stability and will add Google Search to the device’s built-in Internet search application. It also includes a number of bug fixes in the web browser and audio player. So there you have it.

Microsoft has updated its Windows Live Messenger mobile client to be compatible with Symbian S60 devices. As you can see on the picture above, the new version perfectly fits the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic’s screen, and will also be compatible with other Nokia handsets, including the upcoming N97 model.

Just to remind you, Windows Live Messenger allows you to chat  with your MSN/Windows Live buddies, as well as access your Hotmail account while on-the-go.

Nokia announced a new addition to its 8800 Arte range. The letest 8800 Gold Arte model comes with stainless steel parts with 18 carat gold plating and premium quality leatherrange.

Nokia E71 EURO version has received a major firmware update. The new version 200.21.188 as always includes a number of stability and functionality improvements, as well as:

• More power efficient 3G;
• Improved camera performance

It's confirmed: Nokia's feature-rich E71x will soon be landing on AT&T. The carrier itself didn't announce the device yet, but there's a PDF manual with AT&T specifications available at Nokia's website for public viewing.

Nokia has officially confirmed the recently spotted 6208 Classic handset for China. Pricing and availability details are not currently available.

The rumored Nokia 5710 XpressMusic has appeared on Nokia’s U.S. site, and by the looks of it it's just an updated version of the previous 5700. It hasn't been announced yet, but we're pretty sure it will be arriving at T-Mobile sometime this year.

Nokia has announced the North American version of its E63 messaging smartphone. The phone will be available soon for $279.00 sans contract before taxes or subsidies in either red or blue.
