Mozilla's Firefox Mobile has hit the Alpha 2 stage. It was codenamed Fennec, and is still available for the OS2008 (”Maemo”) software platforms that runs on the Nokia N810 Internet Tablets. In addition, Windows, OS X , and Linux users can also take the browser for a test drive.

Nokia's UK website now features the CWM version of the company's N96. Apart from the newly added support for the Nokia's "Comes With Music" service, the handset doesn't offer anything new in terms of specs. And it's 16GB of onboard memory are enough to storre all the music you can handle.
You can pre-order the CWM N96 now for £540 ($799). The package includes a wired stereo headset, two chargers and a whole year of full free access to the said service.

The new Nokia 6208 Classic doesn't look like most of the Nokia's handsets. It comes in a candybar form-factor and has both a physical keypad and a touchscreen display. They say it will only be available in China, but hopefully it won't.

Apparently, the financial crisis doesn't scare Goldstriker, as next month they plan to launch the Nokia 8800 Princess Edition, a luxury handset covered with 8.2 carats of diamonds across the front and the back, and platinum instead of leather. It will be launched at the Colette store in Paris at a price of £12,000.

Nokia N79 has got a new firmware update version 11.049. While the update seems to be minor, as the version number didn't get far from the previous 11.046, the oh-so-long list of changes will probably make you think otherwise.

FCC has approved the Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic, which means it will be heading to the U.S. market. The phone supports 3G, but isn't carrier-branded. Apparently, they've decided to sell it outright, so be prepared, as it will cost you big time.
