Fido has released a pink version of the Nokia 3500. Well, not exactly: the d-pad is pink, and keypad backlight is aslo pink, but the device's face panel is black. Sorry... As expected, specs and pricing remain the same.

The long-awailted Nokia Tube 5800 XpressMusic has been finally announced, and is now showcased at the company's website. The phone will be available for €279 (about $392) contract-free in a choice of black, red or blue colors. Features of the phone include:

Owners of the Nokia N82 can now update their handsets to the latest firmware version (v30).
It includes updated Flash Lite, Maps 2.0, new music player, less sensitive automatic display rotation, as well as other performance improvements and additions.

That's odd, Nokia N96 has started selling just recently, and has already got a firmware update. The new firmware (version 11.018) is currently available for European models, and besides applying a number of bug fixes and stability improvements offers nothing new to be considered important. We say don't rush to update just yet...

The Nokia N96 can now be purchased from a number of retailers throughout Europe. Verkkokauppa.com offers the unlocked version of the handset for for €600 ($880) and Nokia's UK, French and Italian sites report that they have the smartphone in stock. There's even some feedback from users that have supposedly purchased the device.
Other local Nokia websites list the N96 as "coming soon".

According to multiple sources, the phone is still set for the official announcement that will supposedly take place in London on October 2nd, and will be available for purchase by the end of the year.

While this information is unconfirmed, we feel it's our duty to share it to you: according to an "anonymous industry source" the Nokia's long-awaited XpressMusic 5800 Tube touchscreen handset will be launched on October 2nd.
As I said, take this with a large pinch of salt and wait for an official confirmation.

Nokia's Vertu has a new luxury handset, called the Signature S Design phone - "A Phone Without Equal". From the information provided earlier by the FCC we know it is a quad-band GSM/EDGE phone, Vertu's first to support 3G HSDPA 850/2100 MHz bands. It is also the first Vertu to integrate Wi-Fi support, available mostly on the Nokia's Symbian S60-based smartphones, and UMA-capable cell phones, like the 6301.
