Nokia and composer Brian Eno today announced a charity auction to benefit two of Brian's favourite organisations - the Keiskamma Aids Treatment program and The World Land Trust. Starting on January 8th 2007 and ending on Febuary 12th 2007, a total of ten Nokia 8800 Sirocco Brian Eno Signature Edition mobile phones, individually numbered and engraved with Brian Eno's signature, will be auctioned online with all proceeds going directly to both charities.

FCC approved the new UMA-capable clamshell of the Finnish manufacturer Nokia after it was officially announced in Amsterdam , during the Nokia World Show .
Well, the new Nokia 6086 phone is basically a WiFi/UMA-capable version of the 6085, and it has Bluetooth, mediocre displays and VGA camera and world roaming thanks to quad-band GSM support.

By hearsay Cingular is going to launch the Nokia N75 . The N75 will be the first N-Series device available directly from a US carrier. These N-Series phones are quite powerful, and Nokia doesn't even call them phones, but call them a "mobile computer". Unfortunately the device supports only UMTS.
The list of features N75 possesses is:
- S60 3rd Edition (Symbian OS)
- Quad-band GSM + EDGE + UMTS (3G)
- Smallish size: 95 x 52 x 20mm
- QVGA screen with 16 million colors

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Nokia and Yahoo! extended their partnership to offer Yahoo! branded services including Yahoo! Mail and Messenger on Nokia's wide range of mobile phones operating on the Series 40 platform. Yahoo! services will initially be available on the newly announced Nokia 6300, the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and the Nokia 5200. Moving forward these services and the ability to synchronise Yahoo! contacts, tasks and calendar on the PC and phone will be added to an even wider range of Nokia's Series 40 devices.
