Well, the 1.1 (11.0.021) update for the Nokia N97 we talked about yesterday is now available to everyone, so you can get started right away. If for some reason the software is not available over-the-air, you can always fire up Nokia Software Updater and give it a go. See below for a full change log:

According to this video, the Nokia's new Mako smartphone will be coming to AT&T in mid-July as the 6790 Surge. It should be "priced pretty well", which actually sounds pretty ambiguous, and will have features such as S60, 2.4" 240x320 display, HSDPA support, and 2Mpix camera. Watch the video below:

 

We have confirmation that tomorrow, July 1st, Nokia will be releasing the first firmware update for the recently released N97 NAM. The software will be available OTA via the Nokia Software Updater. No word on what exactly will be changed in this release, but you're welcome to find it out for yourself.

Hopefully it includes the kickass LL Cool J startup screen you see on the pic.

MobileCowboy.nl has unveiled the new Nokia 3720. It is a ruggedized candybar handset using Nokia's S40 UI and is reportedly IP54-certified to withstand water and shock. The phone is expected to be launched in September on T-Mobile, either American or European.
