Nokia 5700 was cloned again. This is the second clone you see here; the first one was a pure media player in disguise. :) Despite that its features seem pretty decent, including a 2Mpix camera, 3" QVGA touch-screen, FM radio, TV receiver, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot, their quality leaves much to be desired.

Nokia hopes to launch 6 to 12 new phones customized for North American carriers in 2008, versus three in 2007, as the company aims to improve its No. 4 U.S. market share, the president of its North American business said on Wednesday. Nokia leads the global cell phone market but has struggled to compete in the United States, where it had an 11 percent market share in the third quarter, according to Strategy Analytics.

The recently revealed patent from Nokia unveils complany's plans for integrating a new gesture control technology S60 Touch that will allow users to control a device without even touching it. The new technology is based on Ultrasonic Transducers (USTs) set around the perimeter of the device, which would create a 3D gesture touchless interface, a perfect alternative to the iPhone's multi-touch screen.

FCC has recently approved the new Nokia 3555, a 3G (1700MHz) flip phone, similar to the 6555 model. It will be available from for AT&T and T-Mobile, but we have no idea when Nokia 3555 will be released, nor what features it will include. Stay tuned.

Nokia has finally announced the launch of their flagship N95 8GB handset in the U.S. This Symbian S60 based 3G HSDPA-enabled smartphone should be available in Nokia flagship stores in New York and Chicago and from online retailers during this quarter. You can get one unlocked for $749, or if you think the phone is too pricy wait until AT&T picks it up.

Many rumors have appeared in the net about the upcoming Nokia E71i, which is the E61 's successor. As there is no official information about the device we will just tell you what we heard. :) So, the phone should be announced at 3GSM and will probably be released sometime in Q2 2008. Nokia E71i features will include HSDPA and Wi-Fi support, GPS functionality, 3Mpix camera, and full support for device and memory card encryption.

FCC has recently approved the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic, a new mid-end easy-to-use music cell phone. Apparently, it is a successor to the Nokia 5310 sporting a slider form factor and equipped with a 3Mpix camera. For now there's no word from carriers who would like to offer this one, but you can always get the phone at a Nokia flagship store in New York or Chicago, or from the official website.

The device is called GF-W168 and features a dual-touch display similar to the original, a touch-sensitive keypad, a 3Mpix camera, stereo Bluetooth, media player (3GP/MP4 video), dual band GSM connectivity. Well, close enough to the real thing, but still not the same.
