Today Nokia has unexpectedly unveiled its new line of music phones, called the X Series. The first two representatives in the lineup are the X6 and X3 models. Both handsets support Nokia's Comes With Music service an well as other music-centric features such as stereo Bluetooth and advanced media players. They also share other features including quad-band GSM/EDGE supprot, GPS, support for Flash Lite 3.

The Nokia N97 Mini has been officially announced today. It is expected to begin shipping in October 2009 for an estimated retail price of EUR 450 before taxes and subsidies. The phone offers premium content from Lonely Planet/Michelin, and supports Ovi's new Lifecasting service. Other features include:

Introducing the new Nokia 5230, the company's yet another touchscreen handset. There's nothing special about it: it runs S60 5th edition, has decent features and will be available in two versions in Q4 2009. The regular model will cost €149, while the Comes with Music version will be available for €259. On the video below (official apparently) we can see how the screen lags when scrolling the pages.

If you live in Germany or Italy, you can preorder the new Nokia N900 online on the company's local sites. The device is listed for €599 (US $860), which is rather expensive, but expected from a Nokia flagship, and shipping is scheduled for October. If it's a must have for you, then go ahead and oredr one now.

The North American version of the Nokia 3710 Fold called 3710a has been approved by the FCC, and will soon be coming to AT&T (most likely), since it supports 3G WCDMA 850/1900 bands. The phone's other features include:

• 3.2Mpix camera;
• QVGA screen;
• GPS;
• Bluetooth;
• Media player;
• microSD memory card slot;
• Nokia’s Series 40 platform

The price shouldn't exceed $100 on a contract, but that's our guess.

The new Maemo 5-based Nokia N900 Internet tablet has been officially announced and will be available for purchase starting this October for €500 (pre tax and pre carrier subsidy). Since it comes with 1700MHz band support, the most likely carrier to be selling it stateside is T-Mobile USA.

The first press photo of the upcoming Nokia N97 Mini has emerged in the Interwebs, you can see it above. The phone is FCC-approved and even has some previews, and  cn't wait for the upcoming Nokia World event, where the N97 Mini will be presented.

Nokia has recently isued a new firmware update for its N97 smartphone. The latest version 12.0.024 is said to be a bug fix and performance update, nothing special, but we recommend it anyway. Check NSU to see it it's available in your region.
