Nokia introduced its two new 3G phones, the Nokia 6500 classic and Nokia 6500 slide, designed for mid-range market. Both have anodized aluminum cases and large, ergonomic keypads. The 6500 is one of the slimmest phones this year measuring just 9.5mm thick. The handsets should appear in Q3 2007 costing €320 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia has just presented the new Nokia 3109 Classic, a pretty basic mobile phone, which includes standard features like hands-free speakerphone, expandable microSD memory, long battery-life, large capacity phone book, organizer, calendar, notes, email, and a music player. The handset is targeted mostly for business users.
The Nokia 3109 Classic will ship for sale in Q2 2007, costing around EUR 140.

Nokia has started releasing phones with alerts informing users to unplug the charger when the battery is full.
New mobile phones will sound a beep and display an alert saying: "Battery is full, please unplug the charger". This is done to encourage consumers to save electricity and to help maximize the potential energy savings. Officials from Nokia said that such alerts could save enough energy to power 85,000 homes every year.

All menus, instructions and content displayed on the phone's screen are converted into audio, so vision impaired consumers will be able to manage the phone easily like all other users. The Nokia 6682RVI is available for only $199 with a 3 year contract.

After a short delay the new Nokia N76 has been approved by FCC and will soon be available. This 3G handset measures only 13.7mm and weighs 115 g. It features two displays: the main 2.4" QVGA TFT screen, and the secondary one of 1.36" capable of 262k colors. The N76 uses microSD memory cards with capacity up to 2GB. The price should be EUR 390.
