According to the announcement from Nokia and Siemens they start a joint venture in Germany to compete with Ericsson. In this team up will take part Nokia’s handsets and Siemens network carrier-related operations.
Nokia Siemens Networks will provide mobile services with the equipment that they need to provide more content quickly to subscribers.
Nokia sells phones in 130 countries and employs 62,000 people while Siemens is Europe’s largest electronics and electrical engineering company, and employs more than 460,000 people.

Nokia announced that the Nokia Software Updater application is now available from selected Nokia local support web pages as well as http://www.nokia.com/softwareupdate . After a successful trial run last year, Nokia is expanding the program to enable people to update their own mobile device software without having to visit a service point. So far, over three quarters of a million people have updated their Nokia device using Nokia Software Updater.

Nokia today announced that it will realign its North America sales and marketing organization and the management of its device business there. These changes are aimed at improving the organization's alignment with its customers in North America in order to better meet their needs. 
Nokia is redefining the roles of its device sales teams for North America and relocating most sales support people closer to customers.

Espoo, Finland - Nokia announced today that the Administrative Law Judge overseeing the investigation initiated by Qualcomm against Nokia in the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has ordered a stay of the proceedings until further notice. The trial had been scheduled to begin on March 5, 2007.
On June 9, 2006 Qualcomm filed a complaint with the ITC requesting an investigation into the alleged infringement by Nokia's GSM products of six Qualcomm patents.

Nokia continues working hard and presents the Nokia E61i - the third new E-Series phone. The E61i phone is a quad band GSM, WCDMA 2100 and WiFi (WLAN). Nokia in cooperation with fashion designer Giambattista Valli worked over Nokia 7373 Special Edition phone. The phone will be available in two colors: Powder Pink and Black Chrome both paired with signature Giambattista Valli phone accessories.

The Powder Pink has a pearl necklace strap and a miniature pink skull.

The Nokia 7373 Special Edition Black Chrome has elegant glossy black appearance with an en vogue gros grain and onyx-like crystal strap.

Meet the Nokia N77. It is a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) plus WCDMA 2100 and EDGE; a pocket size DVB-H compatible mobile TV phone. The only other DVB -H N-Series device is the N77' s which is quite bigger in size. Nokia announce the new Nokia E90 Communicator. It is the successor for the 9500 Communicator phone. E90 Communicator is a side-opening clamshell with large QWERTY keyboard and 4", 800x352 pixels display on the inside The new device is on the S60 platform.

The new E90 is quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 with EDGE, with HSDPA high-speed data support. It also features built-in GPS receiver and will come with Nokia Maps software .
