A couple of detailed pics of the O2 XDA Zest has surfaced recently, allowing us to take a closer look at this fatso.

The phone will be available from O2 on November 7th at a price of £250 ($400/€300) if you choose the pay-as-you-go option.

Today O2 Germany has officially announced that the much-anticipated HTC Touch HD that will be available on their network in the middle of November. They will have it exclusively for 4 weeks. The phone will cost 289.99 Euros along with a 24-month contract.

Starting today O2 customers in Germany can finally get the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 for 349.99 Euros on a 2-year contract or for 619.99 Euros outright.

ASUS' O2 Xda Zest has finally made its way onto the O2's "Coming Soon" page and is set to be released in November. Details are still scarce. Here's what we know so far:

Great news for O2 subscribers in Germany! Apparently you will be the firs to get you hands on the upcoming HTC Touch HD.

Theunwired .net has posted some shots of it on Sunday and said that the phone was a marketing sample provided by O2 Germany, which btw will be its exclusive carrier in the country.

You may now start jumping with joy.

Global Certification Forum (GCF) has approved a new smartphone, developed by Asus for O2, the O2 Xda Zest. Currently the details are scarce, we only know that it will run Windows Mobile, like all Xda's, and will feature tri-band GSM/UMTS 2100 radios, as well as video telephony and web browsing.

Remember this, future iPhone 3G users in the UK: turn off the "Data Roaming" setting on your handset when traveling abroad! Why? Because O2 has gone overboard with its insane data-roaming charges. For every single megabyte you download, you'll be paying £3 (about US$6) when roaming around in the EU. Leave EU borders and the charge doubles.

Well, it looks like 3G iPhone is definitely coming in June.

First - no vacations for AT&T store employees until July, second - the "next month" hint on Monday, third - the upcoming 1 year anniversary, and now this: according to O2's CEO, the anticipated handset will be launched in "the coming weeks."

But even after all that we still can't specify the exact launch date.

O2 became the exclusive carrier for the new Motorola RIZR Z10 cell phone.

Luckily, once the limited launch period is finished, other carriers will also be able to pick up this handset.
