The myFaves service will soon become available in Germany at T-Mobile. It will allow users to call five of their most favorite friends for free. Of course, not all handsets will support myFaves, so some of you in Germany will have to replace your mobile devices to use it.

Pricing and availability details are expected to be announced next month.

Verizon to offer LG VX9400 soon

Verizon is going to fill its line with the new LG VX9400 and it will be the second Verizon phone providing the new VCast Mobile TV service. Its size is just 4.04"H x 1.93"W x 0.73"D and weighs 4.06oz. The VX9400 has a 262K Color QVGA display that can be rotated from Portrait to Landscape for Mobile TV viewing. The device features 1.3MP Camera (up to 1280x960 for pix, and 320x240 for vids), MP3/WMA Music Player, micro SD slot and Bluetooth Version 1.

Disney Mobile advantageous offer

During the holiday Disney Mobile is reasoning customers into signing up for its service by means of lowering the cost of its handsets and offering a month of service for free if they sign on by Dec. 31.

Carrier's silver Pantech Corp. DM-P100 flip phone from Disney Mobile is available for free with a service plan, down from an initial price of $60.

Alltel has announced a deal to distribute some of XM Satellite Radio's commercial-free channels over cell phones.

For a $7.99 month flat fee, customers can gain unlimited access audio streams of 20 popular commercial-free XM music channels including: The 70s, 80s and 90s decades channels, Top 20 on 20 (Top 20 Hits), Ethel (New Alternative Rock), The City (Hip-Hop/R&B Hits), XMU (Indie Rock), Bluesville (Blues), Highway 16 (New Country Hits), and Viva (Latin Pop Hits).

Sprint announced today that it will begin offering new portable battery-driven chargers for wireless phones, giving its customers the power to charge their phones on the go.

The Energizer "Energi To Go" portable, battery-driven charger uses a single-barrel design made of durable spun aluminum and a patented intelligent control chip that maximizes power transfer from the charger to the phone.

Palm to Offer 3G Treo in Europe

Palm today announced it will market a version of its Treo smartphone in Europe through Britain's Vodafone Group Plc. in hopes of resolving technical problems with a previous model.

The latest Treo will operate on Vodafone's high-speed third generation (3G) network and be powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system. The new Treo smartphone will be available first to Vodafone customers in multiple European countries, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands, before the end of the calendar year.
