Most of you with ordinary mobile phones probably use OperaMini for browsing. Well, Opera has released a new beta of your favorite app, bumping the version to 4.2. You can download it here.
Some of the improvements over the previous builds include skins, faster performance, and YouTube video playback.

The Meridian Group, maker of the recently unveiled Fly E310 cell phone, announced that their device will come preloaded with the Opera Mini web browser, and will be available in the UK, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Opera has released the first BETA of its Opera Mobile 9.5 web browser, announced back in February. While it's an initial release, it will be buggy, but far more advanced than the browser you currently use on your touchscreen handset.
Some of the features include:
- Double-tap zoom;
- Landscape flip;
- Off-line page save;
- Tab-like browsing;
- Auto-URL complete;
- Google-search bar
Google Gears and support for Flash video are to be added later.

Though it should have been released today, the Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta browser was delayed until July 17th, according to an announcement on the Opera Blog. Reportedly, developers need some time to fix a number of bugs and to better test the application to ensure its smooth and bug-free operation.

Opera announced that it plans to release the first public beta of its new mobile browser on July 15. The new Opera Mobile 9.5 takes advantage of the the same Presto rendering engine used on the desktop version. It is compatible with any Windows Mobile Pro or Symbian UIQ based device with minor differences, and will probably feature a new UI.

The new Opera Widgets SDK from Opera Software is a set of tools for creating cross device and cross platform applications that use standard web technologies.
The widgets created with the SDK will be compatible with the Opera 9.5 PC browser, as well as devices running Opera Mobile.

Opera Mini, the popular Java mobile browser has been successfully ported to Google Android OS.
This was done by the lead developer for Opera Mini for Android known as MicroEmulator, who used the original Opera Mini code base and a wrapper capable of translating J2ME API calls into Android API calls.

The company claims that with the 4.1 beta users will be able
