Finally it happened!

Opera Mobile is now officially available on Helio Ocean devices. Users can download it from Helio’s Web Portal, however, the browser is currently available only for the Ocean smartphone.

But if everything will go as planned soon Opera Mini will be supported by the entire Helio line.

Google is no doubt the most popular search engine in the Web.

Therefore Opera Software decided to replace Yahoo! with Google Search in its Opera Mini and Opera Mobile Web browsers.

Now anyone using either of these apps can access Google anytime directly from the browser's main page, and start searching the information they need right away.

Opera Mobile browser has been updated to version 9.5.

The latest build offers several enhancements, including faster browsing speeds and support for more Web technologies (Widgets, JavaScript, Ajax, Flash and Flash Lite 3), which deliver a more desktop-like browsing experience on a smartphone.

Some of the functions of the Opera Mobile include page content zooming, offline browsing, sending web links or images as SMS/MMS messages and more.

According to Opera Software, they plan to release their Opera Mobile 9 web browser in the first half of 2008.

The software will be compatible with both Windows Mobile 6 OS and Symbian UIQ platform, and will come embedded in some of the upcoming handsets.

There was no word on when the application will be available for download.

Opera Software announced that their Opera Mini browser is now compatible with handsets running the BREW platform from Qualcomm. The application is simple to use, and delivers more intuitive web browsing experience thanks to its several useful capabilities:

During this month the Norwegian developer is going to launch the third version of its mobile browser Opera Mini for mass-market phones. As the officials announce the Java-enabled upgrade will be available for download "within a week or two". The aim of Opera is to provide connectivity to a host of devices and services.
