It looks like Orange France will be launching 6 new Android-powered handsets in 2009, one of which is HTC Hero. According to the source, a few weeks after the release of the Hero there will be another HTC Android phone released, but its name wasn't specified.
Apart from HTC phones, there will also be other Android-powered devices from Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG, and Samsung.

According to Coolsmartphone, the UMA-enabled HTC Touch 3G will be hitting Orange UK soon, which means that it will be able to seamlessly transfer between GSM and Wi-Fi resulting in some decent savings for the end user.
So far the T-Mobile Shadow is the only Windows Mobile device that supports UMA, in the US.

Reportedly, the first European carrier to launch a Pay-As-You-Go BlackBerry handset would be Orange UK. They offer an exclusively colored BlackBerry 8120 Indigo for £145 with monthly fee of £5.
A damn good deal if you ask me, and the phone launches tomorrow.

Just to let you know, the HTC’s S740 is now displayed at Orange’s Business website. The S740 is a WM-based smartphone with a front numeric keypad and a sideways sliding QWERTY keyboard. Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G, HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS, 3Mpix camera and microSD card slot.
