We’ve already seen the Verizon’s Palm Pixi Plus price falling, getting it to $45 no-contract, in the past. And we couldn’t notice the lowering of the price for the AT&T’s version. Looks like it's also going down.
Actually, the appearance of the HP Veer 4G at AT&T shelves, made the Palm Pixi Plus to be the best looking webOS handset on their lineup.

According to O2 Germany, the HP Veer
will be launching on the O2 in May, which presumably
means it will also be available elsewhere in Europe around the same
time, and likely in the US as well.
Sadly, there's still no word on any US carriers for the Pixi successor.

A new device called Palm Veer was officially announced by HP.
It is a teeny QWERTY smartphone featuring 2.6-inch display, Flash-enabled web browser, 5 megapixel camera, 800 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, HSPA+ support, Wi-Fi b/g (with hotspot support) and GPS, and is going to run a new version of webOS with some new features.
As it was announced, it will be available this spring.<

HP has officially announced the new Palm Pre 2 smartphone powered by the Palm's latest webOS 2.0 operating system. The new webOS 2.0 offers a number of new features, such as the Just Type feature that lets you type and then choose whether you want to email, text, search the web, etc; HP Synergy that allows developers to include multiple messaging, contact, and calendar application sources; the new "Exhibition" feature that allows users to run any chosen app while the phone is charging on the included Touchstone Charging Dock.

The latest webOS 1.4.5 update doesn't just extend Palm Pre's battery life; it also finally brings PDK'd OpenGL and SDL support to the Palm Pixi, which means support for 3D apps and games, and it works very decently. Here's a video taken from PreCentral with the gameplay demo of Need For Speed: Undercover on the freshly-upgraded handset.

Sprint has started rolling out Palm webOS 1.4.5 to its Palm Pre and Pixi smartphones. The update includes numerous fixes and improvements, such as better power usage and battery optimization, allows users to send MMS texts from the video application along with a new video trim feature, and corrects web text entry.
In addition, Sprint changed the way podcasts are downloaded, and the company's default email signature.
