Spint subscribers waitinhg the CDMA version of Palm’s Treo Pro will be able to get it in the beginning of 2009, January 11th to be precise. The date is not final, but atleast it's official, so take it into account.

We expect verizon to follow the example shortly after, though there was no word from the carrier yet.

The subject says it all. This will probably make a serious boost in the manufacturer's sales, as it enters a new market, and the phone itself isn't bad either. Some of the features include Windows Mobile 6.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and UMTS/HSDPA support.

Just to let you know that Palm has released a minor update for the Verizon Palm Centro, which should be a “minor tune-up that may improve device usability in certain situations”. The v1.03 ROM is now available fof download, and can be installed via Hotsync or an SD card.
Before updating don't forget to backup the installed firmware version.

The green-colored handset will be available in corporate channels for $79.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate starting November 2nd.

Following HTC, Palm has announced that starting November 1 it will no longer provide the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 for one of its handsets, namely the Treo 750. If you own a Treo 750 running Windows Mobile 5, upgrade your phone to a newer system while you still can.

On the threshold of the upcoming holiday period Sprint has added two new colors to its Palm Centro, which include Green and Rose. Apart from that, they've also upgraded the handset's RAM to 128MB. The phone will be available on October 19th at select retail locations, and November 2nd onwards in Sprint stores, consumer and business sales channels for $79.99 on a 2-year contract.

It looks like Best Buy will be getting some interesting phones in the next couple weeks. Among those will be T-Mobile’s G1 and red BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, Palm Treo Pro, and Sony Ericsson C902. The first two will be added to stock on October 26th, but will become available for purchase starting on November 16th. The Treo Pro should arrive on October 28th, while the C902 should have been announced on September 28th.

Those who were waiting for the Palm Treo Pro to come out can now rest easy. The device is now available at the manufacturer's website. For $549 you'll get an unlocked handset shipped to you immediately after purchase.

Palm's Treo Pro has showed up at Vodafone's business site today. The price is £340.43 ($623), and will vary depending on the contract.

Who would've thought that Palm Treo 700wx would some day get a Windows Mobile 6 update. Well, it happened. The new ROM adds support for Microsoft Vista, HTML mail, Office 2007, Inbox search, grins, and other stuff, and is now available for Verizon subscribers.
