Who would've thought that Treo 700wx would some day get a Windows Mobile 6 update. Well, it happened. The new ROM adds support for Microsoft Vista, HTML mail, Office 2007, Inbox search, grins, and other stuff, and is now available for Verizon subscribers.

Great news for Palm Treo fans: the company's Treo Pro smartphone is now officially available for preorder. The unlocked device is listed at the Palm's U.S. site in glossy black "obsidian" for $549 with shipping expected in 2-3 weeks. North American 3G support is present.

Probably to attract some new customers, Sprint has decided to come up with the two new colors for the Palm Centro smartphone. As far as we can see in the picture, the company will offer the handset in rose and some kind of green (we don't know their official names yet). Do you like them?

We have already seen some leaked photos of Palm Treo Pro earlier, but these are the official photos.

Nevertheless we are waiting for official press release.

The Palm Treo 850 we have first seen back in May was renamed to Treo Pro. Atleast that's what they say at the new page on the Palm website. The device itself looks cool, and hopefully will be popular among consumers.

What's the difference between Palm 700p (Verizon) and 700wx (Alltel) handsets anyway? I mean, why would Palm release two separate firmware upgrades for each of these, when they're the same? Anyway, as expected the company didn't give any details on what the patches actually fix, but it's always nice to know you have an up-to-date firmware running on your handset, right?

Palm Centro has passed the 2 million mark in terms of units sold. This is a serious success for the struggling manufacturer, and maybe now they'll assent to release the successor to their dated Palm OS.
The Palm Centro smartphone is available in 25 countries on four continents.

According to the info from the Palm's website, the company plans to release an update that will enable Bluetooth voice dialing on the Sprint's Palm Treo 800w smartphone. Unfortunately, they didn't provide any other details on the update, except asking us to check back on this page "in the coming days."

Sprint's Palm Centro received a little update. It adds My Location feature to Google Maps, as well as improves Bluetooth performance and Gmail IMAP and SprintTV.
