It looks like AT&T will soon be offering a "rainbow" of Palm Centro handsets, as you can see on the picture to the right. Most of you probably know that the carrier will release an “obsidian black” Centro in a month, so the rest of this color range could be additional GSM models.

AT&T plans to release the Palm Centro phone on February 19th. The price is not confirmed yet, but we expect $99 with a 2-year contract. Just to remind you, the Palm Centro is an ugly and pretty low-end CDMA smartphone with a square 1.56" screen, QWERTY keyboard, 1.3Mpix camera, and support for EDGE data.

Sprint Palm Treo 755p owners will be glad to hear that there's a new firmware update available for their buggy handset. Reportedly, the new ROM v1.07 should improve "audio, stability, software quality and device usability", however there are no concrete update details published at this time, unfortunately. Anyway, MS Windows users can flash their device over HotSync or SD-card installation; Mac users can only use the SD-card installation method.

There is a high probability that the stylish Palm Centro smartphone will be soon available from AT&T. Sprint is currently the exclusive carrier for the handset, but their deal with Palm is about expire. And even if the image you see here is fake, we know for sure that other carriers are anxious to get the device, and AT&T stands first in line.

Starting next month Palm intends to start selling the unlocked Treo 500 in Europe. Also known as Palm Gandolf, this WM6 device is currently available through Vodafone for £299. Palm wasn't doing too good lately, so maybe this will help them get back on their feet.

If you recall, not long ago we mentioned that Verizon Wireless is going to make Palm Treo 755p available for its customers. Now we know when this will happen and how much the device will cost. Treo 755p should be available online on December 17, and in Verizon stores starting January 7. You'll be able to get it for $449.

It looks like 2007 turned out to be a bad year for Palm. Palm is one of the leading smartphone manufacturers, nevertheless the company bore losses as competition in this sector was too rough in the past 12 months and their marketing and product promotion campaigns weren't successful. Today Palm announced they would soon present their financial report, and that they've delayed the launch of a new handset, which was to be released before Christmas.

Palm has released an official Windows Mobile 6 update for the AT&T's Palm Treo 750 smartphone. The new platform will offer users access to AT&T Cellular Video service, as well as functional Voice Command via Bluetooth headset, USB charging, and more. The device supports UMTS and HSDPA networks.

The Mexican carrier Iusacell started offering the Palm Treo 755p smartphone to its customers. The 755p is a CDMA/3G handset featuring Microsoft Direct Push technology, as well as mobile Google Maps service. In addition, it supports Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as PDF documents.
