The upcoming Palm Foleo will not be released on August 22nd as reported previously. The release date was carried over to late September or early October. The cause of the delay is said to be some software bugs that don't allow Treo models to sync with the device. It looks like no one was expecting the new Palm to appear when it was first announced, but now this delay will just kill all the excitement.

Sprint presented several new handsets recently, including CDMA versions of the HTC Touch and Blackberry Pearl, and also the smallest Palm smartphone to date, codenamed Centro. Palm Centro has all the same features as the Treo 755p model, but is much smaller. It will be available exclusively from Sprint for $99 with a contract.

As you can see the device comes with a tiny keyboard and is really ugly, not getting any prettier with every new picture coming out. The new smartphone will be available in GSM and CDMA versions running on either Garnet or Windows Mobile operating systems.
